is committed to making learning fun for both the children we care for and the teachers that we employ. Our program serves families with children between the ages of 6 weeks to 6 years and offers a variety of different programs. We employ trained professionals who are highly motivated to teach and to learn. There are 4 classrooms in all that maintain low teacher-to-child ratios, which have been designed to promote a safe and stimulating learning environment. The Crayon Academy is committed to the on-going training of staff and will make every effort to support all employees in their continued education and professional interests. |

The mission of The Crayon Academy is to provide a safe, fun, innovative, exciting and inspiring learning environment for the children and staff. It will be a place that the children want to learn and are building their self-esteem and independence through each experience and the teachers are motivated to learn as well and create an environment that challenges and stimulates the children. We strive to create the professionalism found at the elementary level at The Crayon Academy and provide staff with the opportunities for professional growth and to work in an environment that is team-oriented and that they feel ownership and commitment to the center. |
 |
| It is the belief of The Crayon Academy that the children learn in many different ways. When placed in a nurturing, safe and exciting environment that provides for opportunities for play, exploration, experimentation as well as socialization and collaboration the child is able to gain strong self-esteem that is a necessity for learning. In order to provide for such an environment, those who are attending to these children must act as role models and mentors, enjoy what they are doing and feel a part of the process. Teachers who are given the responsibility, flexibility and opportunity to be heard, in turn, do so for the children that they teach and ultimately foster their independence and individuality. |
